Hungarian Divide

In the last couple of years, gravel cycling and related competitions have become more and more widespread in the world. In this genre, the most extreme are the long-distance, ultra races, where the participants have to overcome distances of hundreds or even thousands of kilometers on their own, with little sleep. The 1,400-kilometer Hungarian Divide is the longest domestic race of its kind. In 2023, from Sátoraljaújhely to Szentgotthárd, on the route that crosses the entire country, 23,000 meters of elevation gain must be overcome. In 2023, the fastest competitor completed the entire distance in 151 hours and 35 minutes.
